Opposites attract.  That’s how Hailey & Kyle describe themselves.  We’d like to add to that that they perfectly balance each other out. We love the chemistry that Hailey & Kyle have.  It’s undeniable.  And if you don’t believe us, just listen to their first meeting and their first date.  These stories had us laughing so much.  Please enjoy their love story…their wedding film is just around the corner!

We are extremely excited to be filming Marcie & DT’s wedding in April in Malibu.  However we were thrilled to film their love story earlier this year!  Marcie and DT are so fun and have the cutest dogs.  It was amazing to film them in their new house that they got the keys to just days before.  Such a beautiful home!  I don’t’ want to give too much away, so I’ll make this post short so you can watch the video.  It’s a little longer than usual, but I promise, you won’t be disappointed.  Enjoy!

As event filmmakers, we have a very unique perspective on these incredible days.  For the bride and groom there is typically a very long build up and then the actual day tends to blur by.  They are left with a vague impression of what the day was actually like and what they experienced.  Our view point is completely the opposite.  We show up the day of and then for weeks and months afterwards we pour over every last second of film we created.  We analyze each and every moment so that we can find the right shots to put into the wedding film.  In many ways, we have a much better perspective on what happened and how the bride and groom felt than they do themselves.  I would like to take this opportunity to tell Jerry and Natasha that they experienced their wedding day with utmost perfection.  It can be very easy to succumb to the pressure of this day, but Jerry and Natasha did not.  In fact they soaked up each and every moment.  The amount of moments that we captured was so staggering that it took us twice as long to go through footage than it normally does.  They lived their day.  They experienced and appreciated how beautiful all the details were.  They shared their love with their families and loved ones.  And most importantly of all, they looked into each other’s eyes and connected with one another.  The ceremony is what is supposed to unify two people, but Jerry and Natasha were inextricably bound well before they ever said, “I do.”   As we watched the footage of them from their wedding day, we could see it.  In each and every frame.  The sheer delight at the sight of one another.  The open and supportive arms as they held each other.  The tone of their voices as their volume dropped so that no one could hear them but each other.  These two were meant for one another.  I could probably write a book on what love is and only use these two as examples, but I’ll stop right here because I can say it all with much more eloquence and pathos with a film.  Watch.  Experience.  Enjoy.

P.S. We would very much like to thank Jerry and Natasha for finding us.  At the time that we first met them we were not going to take on any more clients due to some serious family medical issues.  With the help of Jodi Cohen at JOWY Productions we met with them despite our reservations.  Upon meeting them we knew that we would love to work with them.  They are passionate people and their passion fueled our passion.  Working with them and creating this film have opened us up to our creative fire.  They have allowed us to live in our imaginations and to remember that this is why we do this.  So thank you.  Speaking of creativity…if you haven’t watched Jerry & Natasha’s Love Story then you absolutely MUST!  This film is a perfect example of our dream collaboration with a couple!

At the beginning of November we had the pleasure of filming John & Carolyn’s amazing San Diego wedding…which will be posted in the next few days (so stay tuned)!  But a couple months ago we met up with Carolyn & John at their home in San Diego to film their love story.  We bonded very quickly especially since Carolyn and I have around 80 mutual friends from theatre.  Okay not 80, maybe 8.  But they also love to cook together, eat pizza, drink wine, and take leisurely hikes…all the things that Ian and I like to do.  John is a firefighter and Carolyn a teacher, which I greatly admire.  Another thing that I admire about these two is their dedication to each other.  They love each other so passionately and sincerely.  It’s really something and their love story is fantastic.  Carolyn & John showed their film at their rehearsal dinner and shared their story with their family & friends, a wonderful way to have everyone be extra invested on the day of your wedding.   We had such a blast with them!  Thanks for sharing your story John & Carolyn!

And while you’re at it, don’t you want to watch Carolyn & John’s wedding highlight film?

Where do I even begin about Jerry & Natasha?!  These two people are spectacular people.  They have a spectacular relationship.  And they have a spectacular love story.  (You will see what I mean when you watch the film.)  Since Jerry & Natasha were having a red carpet, Hollywood themed wedding extravaganza they wanted to star in their own film as well!   They collaborated with us every step of the way to create an amazing film that really got to the heart and soul of their relationship.  They premiered this film on a huge screen at the rehearsal dinner that was at the Sony Pictures Lot.  Everyone who was invited to the wedding was at the rehearsal dinner, so every guest was able to see how Jerry & Natasha came to be.

I really could go on and on about them and their wedding that was last Saturday, but I won’t.  Instead I ask you to make sure you have an uninterrupted 11 minutes to watch their film.  Close your door, put on those headphones, grab a box of tissues and watch this.  You won’t be sorry.  We are so proud of Jerry & Natasha for opening up to us, trusting us, and allowing us to capture their story.

A while back we woke up and found that Jackie and Jamison’s wedding film had been posted over on Brides.com.  We were thrilled.  We couldn’t be happier….or could we.  To make a long story short, after that little feature we were contacted by BRIDES Magazine about pre wedding films.  They loved Jackie & Jamison’s wedding film and then died when they saw their Interview Featurette.  So they wanted our input as filmmakers.  The article appeared online about a month ago and can be read in full HERE.  The article is awesome and we were stoked.  Even more stoked that they contacted Jackie & Jamison, who had some wonderful things to say about pre wedding films.

But we are even more excited that the article was printed in 6 of the BRIDES regional editions!  New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Maryland, and Philadelphia.  (Why we weren’t published in the Southern California edition is a mystery, but we are still thankful to be published in these regions.)  If you would like to purchase one of these regions, you can order one HERE.  On a personal note, Ian and I were taken aback to say the least.  We still consider ourselves somewhat new to the scene.  So being interviewed for this article really meant the world to us.  Wedding filmmakers rarely get published due to the product we deliver, so we are beyond honored to have our first magazine publication! We are thinking of having this framed and put in our office.  What do you think?

Check out the article in print!!!

“If I were to live my life a thousand times, a thousand times I would choose you.”  These were the words that Kelly spoke to Brent as she read her vows and this is a perfect way to describe Kelly and Brent’s relationship.  No matter the day, the time, the year, the place, Kelly and Brent would end up together a thousand times.  And on a Friday in June, in the afternoon, in 2011, in Burbank…they ended up together forever.

When we met Kelly and Brent a couple months back to film their Love Story, they told us how they had a great group of friends that they loved to take care of.  I can only imagine that they learned this from their amazing parents.  The whole day felt like a family affair.  Even Ian and I felt like we were part of the family.  I spent a lot of my time talking and laughing with Kelly’s mum and sister in law.  And let me tell you, those Brits know how to have fun!  (Confession: I kind of want to be adopted by Kelly’s mum.)

There are so many things that happened on their day that I wanted to write about.  But if I wrote about each and everyone, this posting would be too long.  Trust me.  I’m a big fan of lists (just ask Ian).  So I thought I would list some of my favorite moments:  Kelly’s father tearing up as he walked her down the aisle, Brent’s surprise song he sang to Kelly, the cake falling apart, the bridal party dancing “Thriller”, Brent’s Best Man making a tuna fish sandwich during his toast, the awesome flip book booth, and lastly Kelly and Brent’s vows.  Much love to you guys!

Hi Everyone!  We are BACK!!  I know it has been forever since we posted a film for you to watch and we apologize.  We (luckily) had a some down time since wedding season ended for us last December.  We have been editing non stop on last year’s weddings during that time.  And now that wedding season is in full swing again we will have many weddings that will be posted soon.

But before we get into the weddings, we are going to share with you our first Love Story for the year.  Meet Kelly + Brent.  These two are just awesome.  Kelly + Brent decided to document their story for a very special reason.  Kelly is from England and a lot of her family will not be able to make it across the pond to experience her wedding.  Kelly + Brent wanted to make sure that her family could see the love that they had for each other, so they decided on the Love Story.  For the record, I am sooooo glad they chose the Love Story because they have so many amazing stories.  It was hard to edit them down because they are so elaborate and wonderful (thus the 16 minute film).  Kelly + Brent are so perfectly paired.  We had a wonderful day hanging out with them and cannot wait for their wedding later in June in Burbank, CA.  This film is a long one, so give it time to load before you start watching.  Enjoy their story!

And while you’re at it, don’t you want to watch Kelly & Brent’s wedding highlight film?

We were beyond surprised to see this feature over on Brides.com.  I mean…BRIDES.COM!!!  Ian and I were totally shocked when we woke up on a regular old Monday and saw that Jackie + Jamison had been featured…yet again!  We had absolutely NO idea that Phillip Crook with Brides.com and BRIDES Magazine had found this film.  So needless to say, we were honored.

Another exciting bit of news.  Phillip Crook is writing an article about pre wedding films and the benefit of these films.  He emailed us the other week to ask if he could interview us on the subject because he thought our films were a perfect example of this type of service, particularly Jackie + Jamison’s film collection as well as Kendra + Justin’s Love Story.  (eeeeek!)  So of course we obliged.  The article will be on newsstands late July in many of the Local editions they publish.  So look for your copy in your region!
