Megan usually writes the posts for our weddings, but since she is the bride’s sister and was the matron of honor for this wedding, the task falls to me.  For obvious reasons, this day was more meaningful than most for us.  I’ve known Kaelyn for years and I am positive that I have never seen her more happy or more beautiful than she was that day.  There was a glow in her eyes and a smile always on her lips.  The weather had been rather dreary leading up to the wedding, but on the day it was perfect.  The mountains in the background popped and the grass seemed more vibrant than usual.  The pace of life in Montana is a little slower than California, and that helped us all appreciate the day and the moment that much more.

Megan’s family is a very tight group that loves to love.  On this day they all came out to celebrate Kaelyn’s love and add to it.  It was the perfect place, the perfect time, and the perfect group of loved ones.  At first it felt like a challenge to shoot the wedding without my partner, but by the end of the day I felt blessed to have been able to capture this experience.  So I would just like to thank Kaelyn and her family, my family, for letting me be witness to the kind of love that we all aspire to feel.

We didn’t meet Jackie + Jamison in person until we filmed their interviews in April.  Right away when I met them, I could tell that they had the kind of love for one another that only seemed possible in stories.  There always seemed to be a smile waiting to burst out because they could not contain their feelings for one another any longer.  They are two of the most genuine, kind, lovable, in the moment people you will ever meet.  When we filmed their interviews, both of them had me crying.  Their stories they told were so moving.  But more than that, what really got me was how appreciative they were.  They knew how lucky they were and to see them bask in that love was overwhelming.  I said to Jackie at the end of her interview that it’s people like her who teach me how to love better.  By witnessing Jackie and Jamison’s love for each other, I’m reminded of how important it is to appreciate a “world stopping” love.  Every moment of every day.  Ian and I both feel lucky and honored to document their love.
The wedding day was filled with energy and excitement from the moment it started.  There was a feeling in the air that made you want to dance.  There is no other way to explain it.  Every moment of this day felt like a moment frozen in time.  It was just…awe inspiring.  We wish that we had three more cameras there to capture it all.  Every detail was perfect.  Santa Margarita Ranch is such a cool location.  (Had I known about this 4 years ago, this is where I would have chosen to get married.)  Jackie was a vision of perfection in her heart stopping San Patrick Dress.  Jamison could not have looked more handsome in his gorgeous suit.  The icing on the cake…was the cake.  Jackie + Jamison call each other ‘Moo’…wait until you see that cake…
Honestly I could go on and on about them.  But instead I will cease my typing and let you enjoy their wedding highlight film.  Without further ado….Jackie + Jamison!
