The past several months for us have been a whirlwind of major life changes. Having only been in our house in Bakersfield for a year and a half, we decided to make a huge move up to Portland, OR. We did this all while I was about 8.5 months pregnant. It was overwhelming and Ian and I joked that having a baby should be the most stressful thing we went through this year. But the move definitely had its weight in stress. After we had about 4 weeks to settle into our new home, we were onto the next big life change. Welcoming our first child into the world. Emma Lyn Swanson arrived on August 5, 2014.
We can’t believe how 6 months have gone by so fast, and yet, it feels as though Emma has always been with us. We feel so honored and proud to be Emma’s parents. She has made such huge strides in the 6 months she has been with us. She smiles, laughs, rolls over, sits by herself, eats food, cuddles with us, sleeps incredibly well, is starting to crawl and is such a happy baby. Our world is forever changed by this little lady and she has brought a joy to our lives unlike anything we have known. We made this film for her a couple weeks after she was born. Even though she has changed SO much these past 6 months, we wanted to share this film with our CMP readers. Hope you enjoy meeting Emma.
